Philosophy
The Mare Is Everything
At Bert House Stud, everything begins with the thoroughbred mare, with our entire programme built around her care and wellbeing from breeding through foaling and early development. Guided by experienced stud staff and an equine nutrition specialist, each horse is managed with a deep understanding of its physical development and nutritional needs, ensuring a thoughtful, horse-led approach at every stage.
As part of Forte Healthcare, the stud is supported by a global network dedicated to animal health innovation, veterinary science and equine wellbeing, while its location in Co. Kildare places it at the centre of Ireland's world-renowned thoroughbred industry, with leading racecourses and key transport links close at hand.
